So after some trial and error testing, I found that when I separated the PS2 partitions completely from the setup, that the loading times for Emu and Apps was near non-existent.įor the record, Popstarter doesnt seem to affect the Emu or Apps at all. I don't know if it truly was a Windows product (doubtful), but there was something called "Windows Advanced Security" that was preventing me from getting to my desktop.Īfter log in and waiting, this box would pop up wanting me to "activate" (ie, pay $90 for) the service because my "system was compromised." The first time it happened, I was able to use taskmanager to get rid of it and get to my desktop, but after restarting the system I couldn't get it to go away.įortunately, I was able to system restore back to a point I hoped was clean.
